World Heavyweight Boxing Champion!

Congratulations to AthletiCBD sponsored athlete Andy Ruiz Jr., as he became the First Mexican Heavyweight World Champion this past weekend defeating Anthony Joshua by way of knockout in the 7th round. We have had the privilege of working with Andy for his last 2 fights, and are very happy to see him reach the goals he has set for himself. Andy and his team captured the WBO, IBO, WBA, IBF belts, and advanced his record to 33 – 1 (22KOs). Andy now sits at the top of the Heavyweight class, and will face Anthony Joshua again in a rematch later this year.

Our relationship started when we met Roger Ruiz from Legendz Boxing. We worked with Roger to bring our CBD product into the Gym. While we were working on the deal we had the privilege of meeting some of the professional boxers in the gym. We got to meet Andy, and see him work out. We were very impressed, and wanted to sponsor him right away. Andy didn’t have a fight set up for the next 8 months, so we couldn’t do so until he had a date set. Once the date was set, we worked with Andy to secure a spot on his shorts for his April 20th Fight Vs. Alexander Dimitrenko. Andy Defeated Alexander Dimitrenko by way of Knock Out in the 5th round and looked very sharp. His performance was enough to put his name on the top of the list to fight Anthony Joshua, as Jarrell Miller (previous scheduled challenger) had failed a drug test, disqualifying him from the contest.

About a week went by with the fight being thrown up in the air before Andy and his team let the world know they would be taking it. We knew right away that Andy would become the Heavyweight World Champion if given the chance, and it is a fight we had to be a part of. Andy worked with us to make a sponsorship happen for this Historic Fight, and we cannot thank him enough for letting us be apart of the fight.

Andy uses our products after he trains to help with pain/soreness.
